2024 Frozen Faceoff Tournament, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The tournament in Kuala Lumpur marked our first competition of the season and came at a time when we were just beginning to train together as the Selects. From the very start, we established ourselves as the dominant team, controlling possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities.

Our focus was on integrating new systems and automatisms into our game, observing how the players adapted. We emphasized movement both on and off the puck, aggressiveness, and quick decision-making. While we scored plenty of goals in most games, we recognized room for improvement in capitalizing on our chances. Encouraging players to utilize smart combinations paid off, and we successfully executed plays off faceoffs—an area we aim to build on throughout the season.

In the end, we earned a well-deserved gold medal, and thanks to our strong performance, I can confidently call this tournament a well-executed and successful one.
