2024 Shenzhen MixC Cup Shenzhen, China

We participated in the tournament in Shenzhen with three categories: U12, U10, and U8. It was the first tournament of the summer for the U10 and U8 teams, while the U12 team had already competed in Harbin.  

For the U12 team, we anticipated a first-place finish. Unfortunately, we started the tournament with a loss because we underestimated our opponents, thinking we were already winners. In the second match, we decisively beat the same team and went on to defeat the rest of the teams. However, due to goal differential, we ended up in second place. This taught us a valuable lesson: to approach every game with humility.

The U10 team played well in the first part of the tournament, regardless of the results. In the second game, we struggled to keep up with our opponents both in skating and physically. Many young players in this category will need time to adapt next season, and they will need to continually work and improve.

A similar situation occurred with the U8 team. Although we secured third place, we could have performed better. We are already looking forward to the next season, which will start soon, so we can continue to progress together.
